POSITION SUMMARY
The purpose of this role is the project management of client work. This position will support the lead consultant and other consultants on the client account for various global benefits client assignments. The role will primarily involve completing assigned client projects/tasks for review and finalization by senior/lead consultants on the global benefits team. The role would also include participation in client meetings and interactions with various internal and external client contacts in project management of global benefit projects.
Global benefits works would include: retirement and other benefit plan consolidation for financials, benefit audits, multi-country benchmarking, M&A, multinational pooling studies and pool managements, financial projections of benefit/pension valuations, monthly financial reports for self funded plans, compensation reviews, captive studies and financial management. Drafting reports and presentations as client deliverables for various projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate global disclosure consolidation activities for key multinational accounts, which would include collection of assumptions from various local actuaries, preparation and finalization of client meeting materials and drafting and finalization of valuation result reports.
Supporting lead consultants in project managing global benefits projects, which includes preparation of draft materials and coordinating finalization of client deliverables.
Supporting various client projects using global tools (i.e. Global Inquirer /Great Insight) for global coordination etc. Become proficient at using these tools to support client projects.
Manage client relationships on assigned clients for data gathering, assumption verification.
Responsible for primary quantitative as well as qualitative analysis for benchmarking, pooling and M&A projects creating client deliverable reports
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree required (mathematics, finance or economics preferred).
3-4 years of experience in retirement plan consulting is required. Preferably non-US experience is preferred; however US only retirement consulting experience is a must.
International consulting or non US benefit/retirement consulting is a plus.
Pursuing actuarial designations via exams. Candidate should be nearing attaining the ASA designation with Society of Actuaries
Excellent communications skills (written and verbal).
Strong organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple projects at one time.
Project management and strong analytical ability.
Working knowledge of benefits and services offered and value to clients.
Strong presentation skills.
