Casualty Underwriter

Currently, Chubb is seeking a Casualty Underwriter for our Phoenix, AZ office.
This position will manage a $5-9m book of umbrella and excess business made up of 300-350 customers. In the position you will establish/maintain effective relationships and maintain high standards of customer focused service. This position includes responsibility for implementing local business goals and plans within the context of Chubb's corporate strategies to ensure the profitability and servicing of a diversified book of business. This underwriter will be responsible for underwriting and retaining a renewal portfolio of excess/umbrella business; maintaining an acceptable loss ratio by tracking and following up on large claims and related activities.
Position Responsibilities:
• Ideal candidate will have 2+ years commercial underwriting experience with an emphasis in casualty lines.
• Candidate should have strong business acumen, marketing and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of developing strong producer and customer relationships.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills required.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Two to five years of commercial underwriting experience preferred
