POSITION SUMMARY:
Serve as a liaison with Corporate IT and set up the overall Corporate Business Solutions (CBS) Architecture function and infrastructure direction. Lead the development and maintenance of the technical, application, information and architecture strategies. Perform R&D.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Oversee activities of CBS Architecture discipline, and lead day to day activities of the architecture team in the development of strategic architectures (application, technical, information and infrastructure) for the technology organization
•Develop and manage an architecture governance process to ensure consistent review of the technology and application portfolio to rationalize where possible and ensure all projects are aligned to the desired state architecture
•Provide recommendations on technologies and solutions used within the CBS applications portfolio
•Manage application and technology currency, and plan the reduction of obsolete technology
•Coordinate technology innovation programs to plan optimal uses of new or existing technologies by leveraging Corporate IT technology research and pilot programs
•Ensure that the architectural and solution design of the technology organization and its information systems are aligned to the organization’s / business'' objectives
•Develop CBS architecture standards, guidelines, policies and procedures for infrastructure, data interchange and common applications in alignment with Corporate IT guidelines and disseminate to the CBS architecture team
•Establish strong working relationships with IT Enterprise Architecture
•Participate in and support cross technology process improvement initiatives, and performs R&D in selection of the optimal tools that most effectively address the current application/business needs
•Proactively develop staff to promote consistent career management, performance measurements and skill development, and career opportunities

ADDITIONAL RECOMMENDED RESPONSIBILITIES:
Knowledge
•Bachelor’s Degree (required) or Master’s Degree (preferred)
•10 + years IT experience with architecture methods and practices
•Strong familiarity with technology organization and business applications portfolio
•Strong knowledge of industry trends related to technology and application innovation,
•Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
•Strong knowledge of relevant applications and development of lifecycles
•Strong influencing/negotiation skills
•Strong interpersonal/relationship management skills
