Workers Compensation Claim Examiner – 5+ yrs of Complex Case Experience

Chubb is currently looking for a Workers Compensation Claim Examiner to join our team in our New York, NY or Warren, NJ offices.
Position Description:
• Demonstrate fundamentally sound claim handling in investigation, case management, case evaluation and documentation.
• Recognize and address coverage issues, potential fraud and subrogation.
• Establish and document execution of sound strategies that lead to the favorable disposition of each claim.
• Adhere to all corporate litigation management guidelines and work with defense counsel to direct them in the most favorable outcome.
• Adhere to all Best Practice guidelines.
• Administer statutory benefits and notices and ensure compliance with customer service requests including Special Claims Handling procedures.
• Partner with Technical Assistants, Special Investigator, Nurse Consultant and Telephonic Case Managers as well as Team Supervisors to exceed customer's expectations for exceptional claims handling service.
• Complete claim reviews according to best practice standards.
• This position can be located in New York or New Jersey.
Competencies/Technical Skills:
• Requires 5+ years of handling complex workers compensation cases.
• Requires knowledge of New York workers compensation statutes and regulations, knowledge of other jurisdictions preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to claims career, advanced verbal and written skills, exceptional time management and multi-tasking capabilities with consistent follow through to meet deadlines, uses analytical skills to find mutually beneficial solutions to claims and customer issues.
• Enjoys collaboration to accomplish goals; is able to prepare and make exceptional presentations to internal and external customers; is conscientious about the quality and professionalism of work product and relationships with co-workers and clients; is willing to take ownership and tackle obstacles to meet Chubb's quality standards for service, investigation, reserving, inventory management, teamwork and diversity appreciation.
Education:
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• IEA certificate helpful, AEI, ARM or CPCU coursework a plus.
