Director - Performance Metrics
at Access Insurance in Atlanta, GA
An exciting opportunity now exists to join Access Insurance Holdings! Due to growth of the company, we are searching for a hard-working, driven, and experienced analyst leader to join our team at our Atlanta, GA location.
Job Description
This job will require the qualified candidate to provide leadership on program development, manage the implementation and maintenance of assigned projects, and drive results. The Performance Metrics Director duties may include but are not limited to:
• Responsible for assessing and analyzing operational aspects of the underwriting department. This includes report design, business analysis, facilitating discussions on trends and developing metrics to improve underwriting performance.
• Effectively incorporate data and develop predictive models to improve overall department success.
• Interact with senior management and executives through face-to-face discussion, group presentations, written reports, and other communication vehicles.
• Work with senior leaders and IT personnel to investigate data inconsistencies, perform analysis of data and troubleshoot current data integrity issues.
• Assess opportunities for expense savings, claims avoidance, and ensuring critical project successes.
• Design, develop and maintain individual and unit performance metrics for the entire underwriting department.
• Manages the day to day operational and tactical aspects of the Performance Metrics Department
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree required – MBA preferred
• Transactional experience in multiple business areas
• Business Objects experience a plus
• 5+ years of Property and Casualty Insurance experience - Nonstandard Auto preferred
• Proven experience in developing and coaching analysts
• Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
• Highest-level proficiency in Excel and MS Access
