We are currently looking for a Associate Broker in our Clayton, MO office
Roles and Responsibilities:
Prepares initial market submissions (including loss summaries) to be finalized by senior broker, in collaboration with Account Executives and in partnership with clients
Performs first check of insurance policies with little or no guidance and after senior broker signoff follows up with underwriters for corrections.
Responsible for delivery on projects, consistent with our operational excellence standards
Developing ability to sustain both market and client relationships and advancing insurance knowledge base
Develops coverage competency, knowledge of markets and relationships
Developing ability to understand our analytical/actuarial techniques to design and compare risk transfer/risk financing plans as required by product line and client needs
Developing basic communication and negotiation skills for the brokerage process
Developing basic business acumen and financial skills
Obtains broker license
Developing ability to broker less complex accounts
Minimum Experience and Education:
Undergraduate degree in risk management, insurance, marketing or finance. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to interact with people at all levels in the organization.
