Currently we have a career opportunity for an Account Executive (Professional Services Group) in our Chicago, IL office.

Description:
Act as Account Executive on complex professional liability placements. Ensure all clients’ needs are promptly and accurately satisfied; ensure all deadlines are met on a timely basis; ensure quality standards are maintained and handle projects independently and creatively. Grasp/understand topics involving our specialty niche. 

MAJOR DUTIES:
 Establish personal relationships from an existing network of contacts, as well as establishing and building new relationships.
Develop opportunities for Aon from relationships.
Work with and assist local originators in establishing relationships and developing opportunities.
Viewed as a thought leader (creative thinking and innovation); proven credibility (knowledge/trust) both externally as well as internally
Achieve annual new business sales goals
Communicate and capture the value that Aon brings even to the most challenging situations.
Prepare proposals and make presentations to clients.
Provide guidance and insight to markets about clients and to clients about markets.
Provide ongoing relationship management/service to clients, with the assistance of an Assistant Vice-President/Account Representative.
Review all correspondence, documentation and invoicing prepared by client service personnel.
Strong commitment to customer service.
Travel required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
BA/BS Degree required. JD an asset.

Experience:          
Professional Liability experience an asset. 
Insurance broker experience an asset but not essential.
Minimum seven years related insurance experience or five years legal or consulting experience.
Illinois Brokers license or willingness to obtain.

Special Skills:     
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to perform under pressure.
Results oriented
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work well under pressure with attention to detail
Ability to organize, prioritize, monitor and control work flow deadlines  and be flexible
Be energetic/have a proven sense of urgency
