Description

The primary focus of this position will be to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive career development strategy for sales and distribution within Annuities. The incumbent in this role will be responsible for developing the content and strategy for effective career development of sales and sales management roles.

Responsibilities:

As a senior member of the learning team, provides input and direction on organization development and performance. Provides leadership, direction, and expertise to enable business to implement large-scale change events.
Work collaboratively with marketing, product development, investment management and human resources to maximize effectiveness of educational communications and materials to effectively impact sales strategies.
Qualifications

Prior experience in leading and structuring training teams and programs in Sales organizations
Demonstrated knowledge of sales learning best practices and benchmarks
Excellent leadership skills including communication, execution, consultation and team-building skills are required

Director, Sales Training – Investments Education-
Description

This position is responsible for managing and delivering a robust Investments Education Program for the Annuities Sales & Distribution organization. The incumbent will partner closely with sales leaders, investment experts and the training delivery team to prioritize the program specifics and to develop a full scale implementation plan. Some degree of travel may be required, as this individual may deliver training in other office locations such as Fort Washington, PA, may travel with Wholesalers, and may deliver training on various topics to the Broker-Dealer community.

Responsibilities:

Provides expertise and consultation to develop a comprehensive Investments Education program strategy for the Annuities sales and distribution organization.
Provides needs analysis and learning assessment across all roles in sales and distribution.
Partner with Investments and Sub Advisor leadership to ensure relevancy of the Investment Education program.
Facilitate and deliver training as well as train the trainer programs. Deliver educational seminars on various Investment topics, as well as informational seminars on other topics as assigned.
Interface with Curriculum design group to help design curriculum content.
Respond to internal and external inquiries on specific investment education questions.
Drive tracking and monitoring of investment education activities to maximize resources and determine the impact on sales.
Analyze investment education data and provide trending analysis, and make appropriate recommendations and adjustments to the program.

Create, manage, and leverage a network of SMEs to work as an internal learning faculty.

Requirements:

10+ years as an experienced financial/investments professional
Advanced degree or industry designation, such as Masters, CLU/ChFc or CFP preferred
Strong leadership skills including communication, execution, consultation and team-building skills are required
Very strong presentation and facilitation skills; effective in conveying technical information in an accessible and compeling fashion to financial professionals with less technical proficiency.
Abitility to understand technical information and convey in an understandable fashion to multiple audiences.
Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management.
Demonstrated experience in both strategic and operational organization learning and performance management.
Business acumen, Financial Services industry preferred
Candidates will be familiar with variable annuities, mutual funds, seperately managed accounts, and qualified retirement plans.

Sr. Continuing Education Specialist-Description

This position is responsible for managing the content for the Annuities’ Continuing Education (CE) program. The program includes a wide array of timely and relevant educational programs that can help advisors build their professional expertise and stay abreast of important tax and fiscal legislation that affects clients’ portfolios. These courses represent one of the most extensive lineups of continuing educational programs available in the annuity industry. The courses are generally approved for all the major industry designations, including CFP®,CLU, ChFC, CIMA and state life insurance licenses. On an annual basis, approximately 40,000 hours of credit are awarded to program attendees. The subjects span a range of topics including not just variable annuities and optional benefits, but also retirement planning, advanced planning, investment-specific courses, practice management advice and current industry trends. The courses are delivered by over 400 individuals, including sales associates, internal subject matter experts and external partners. This includes recommending topics and themes, personally writing some content, as well as collaborating with subject matter experts, creating support and collateral materials, assisting in the introduction of new programs and monitoring usage of the materials.

Recommend topics and themes on which new programs will be based. This could include retirement income, estate planning, annuities, investments, etc. Assist in conducting thorough interviews with stakeholders to gather feedback and input.
Manage the development of presentation and collateral materials. Develop some material independently, and collaborate with internal subject matter experts and external partners on some. Simplify complex information and present it in a logical order, conveying key concepts succinctly and with clarity.
Partner with Marketing to design, print and package presentation and collateral materials
Assist in introduction and rollout of new programs, including communications and training for instructors.
Assists in analysis of programs to determine usage and effectiveness.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required
Five to seven years relevant experience
Knowledge of financial services industry, including retirement planning and annuities. Knowledge of advanced estate, tax and financial planning concepts a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to effectively communicate technical information in a simple, understandable format.
Strong interviewing and interpersonal skills
Excellent time management and organizational abilities
