Position Overview:
Aon is currently seeking an Actuary to join the Philadelphia, PA office. Preferred candidate would have experience in latent exposures (asbestos, black lung, environmental) or Casualty reserving experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Delivers quality products and services to clients or colleagues, work product consistently meets expectations for accuracy and appearance.
Delivers on commitments to clients and colleagues, meets both internal and client deadlines.
Appropriately uses Aon processes, methods, and models to deliver results.

Develops personal and professional skills through on-line training, courses, seminars, certification programs, etc.; readily accepts feedback from clients and colleagues.
Passed one actuarial exam toward attaining required credentials.
Works effectively with client team members and colleagues, supports and encourages collaboration within the unit or with outer Aon resources.
Communicates with team members in a constructive manner, regularly provides unsolicited feedback.
Ensured compliance with T&E, SFDC and other internal Aon business requirements, personally and for direct reports.
Holds direct reports accountable for their performance; effectively leads/manages others to produce results.
Innovation:
Applies & translates new concepts to improve functioning of the team.
Seeks new, creative, and more efficient approaches to deliver client results; uses new approaches developed by colleagues; builds actuarial models when data is limited.
Regularly accesses knowledge tools to stay abreast of developments shared by colleagues.
Results:
Actively seeks to prepare proposals for lead consultant; regularly identifies opportunities to increase scope of services for existing clients.
Achieved 100% of utilization target.

Minimum Qualifications:
BS Degree or equivalent in finance, mathematics, statistics, economics, actuarial science, risk management, or equivalent.
Minimum ACAS designation, preferred. Must be pursuing actuarial designation
Candidates with significant experience in latent exposures (asbestos, black lung, environmental, or casualty reserving experience are preferred
Minimum of five years relevant work experience, preferred
Ability to work on multiple projects with multiple consultants.
Ability to function at both the macro and micro level, think strategically as well as handle technical detailed work.
Communicates effectively with middle/upper managers.
Ability to write standard reports for actuarial projects that clearly communicates findings and methodologies.
Strong knowledge of PC related tools for actuarial analysis, technology applications and data utilizations for actuarial functions.
Maintains continuing education requirements.
