Position Summary
• Participates in new client acquisition process and collaborates with underwriters to ensure they understand CSC claim capabilities, services,and fees
• Responsible for preparing proposals that outline CSC capabilities and negotiating the account services and fees.
• Responsible for maintaining client and Broker relationships and monitoring quality of service for designated accounts resulting in the retention of accounts.
Job Responsibilities
• Act as primary client contact with focus on maintaining and improving customer satisfaction and building client relationships
• Provide timely response and investigation of service inquiries and issues
• Act as liaison between clients,claims operations, IT and other areas of CSC or Chubb for resolution of any service issues
• Ensure adherence in the delivery of all contracted claims services
• Track account profitability and recommend cost recovery scenarios to ensure future profitability on underperforming accounts
• Track scope increase on managed accounts and determine if enhanced services are necessary
• Promote account expansion through contact with clients by understanding their needs and keeping them apprised of service offerings
• Perform new and renewal account setup and revision including contracting, location coding, and special handling
• Develop fee/cost recommendations for claims handling services on new and renewal business
• Actively participate in materials development and capabilities presentation to perspective clients
• Prepare and deliver stewardship reports for clients
• Identify and educate clients, brokers and underwriters on issues and/or trends impacting their account
• Provide marketing communications and materials
• Responsible for proposal development, quoting, and contract management
• Participate in insurance community through affiliation memberships and educational opportunities
• Manage the claim review process to deliver a value added experience for customers
• Ensure compliance with all applicable quality initiatives
• Identifies and communicates with claim management on trends or patterns (positive and negative) in the claim operation to assist with continuous improvement and excellence in claim service.
• Monitors competitor practices / services and identifies opportunities to expand / enhance CSC services or to leverage CSC advantages.
• Monitors client and carrier data to ensure accuracy and completeness in financial claim data.
Technical Acumen
• Understands claim operations, processes and workflows
• Knowledge of WC Managed Care, Litigation Management and other claim cost containment strategies
• Sales and marketing of claim service capabilities
• Negotiation of claim service and pricing options
• Claim Review & Stewardship Coordination
• Knowledge of Risk Management Information Systems and ability to use reports to analyze results
• Understands various Risk Transfer mechanisms and the implications for claim service options
Business Partnership
• Strong client relationships skills
• Build and maintain an in-depth understanding of business products across Claims and CSC and, establish strong working relationships with functional counterparts, business partners and vendors
• Strong broker / agent relationships and understanding of their role in the sales process
People Development
• Provides training and coaching of Account Analysts to assist with their development and successful job performance.
• Provides feedback from claim review process regarding adjuster strengths and areas for improvement
Knowledge Management
• Regularly seeks feedback from clients on service delivery and shares information with CSC claims and business partners
• Maintains current knowledge of key regulatory changes impacting claim workflows and procedures or client obligations
• Maintains awarenss of service capabilities and limitations of Chubb Services Corp.
• Understand and complies with Chubb Code of Conduct in all business transactions and relationships.
Recommended Qualifications
• 5-7 years of progressive experience in Casualty or Workers Compensaiton Claims with supervisory or management experience preffered
• 5-7 years of progressive experience in Insurance including account management or client advocate role at a carrier, TPA, or Broker
• Bachelor’s Degree required, Advanced Degree preferred
• CPCU, ARM or other Industry designations preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle conflict and challenging issues in a fast paced environment
• Ability to negotiate and influence
• Ability to deliver difficult messages in a professional manner
• Creative problem solver who identifies options / alternatives and works to find a viable solution
• Strong listening skills resulting in understanding client needs
• Delivers results consistently with little or no direction – self starter
• Proven sales skills with ability to close the deal
