ACCOUNTING COORDINATOR
at Old National Bank in Indiana
Old National Insurance has an opportunity for an Accounting Coordinator in Indianapolis, Indiana. This position facilitates the accounting, billing, general reporting and bank reconciliations for JWF Specialty (JWFS) and some of Old National Insurance (ONI).
Essential Duties:
Bank Reconciliations: reconcile up to 15 bank accounts; JWFS self-insured escrow accounts; maintain list of outstanding checks; resolve outstanding items; complex account reconciliations daily; low activity accounts monthly; positive pay daily; reconcile sweeps daily to the bank accounts.
JWFS Accounting: provide reports to State of Indiana related to their self-insurance; review A/P and insure payment; review A/R on weekly basis and make collection calls; review general ledger; monitor cash; work on subrogation and recoveries; make journal entries; provide and pay account current statements for NSA and CAN; track bill review fees and post appropriate related payable to vendor; assist other departments in external audits as needed.
Client Billing: bill self-insured clients (annual fee, monthly flat fee, per-claim fee); send invoices along with appropriate billing documents; maintain comparison of actual revenue income against budgeted income; enter EFTs received into Sagitta under client code.
OML/OMJSP: monitor cash flow and enter customer receivables; track agent, subagent, and administrative fees and pay on monthly basis; transmit weekly funds transfer requests to move monies from lockbox to trust and trust to checking; reconcile DB statement between Sagitta and BusinessWorks; enter client receivables in BusinessWorks and track on Excel reinsurance spreadsheet; review Pool A/R and create collection letters.
Qualifications:
1 year prior accounting experience.
Experience with Sagitta is a plus.
Must be proficient in Excel.
Insurance or accounting industry experience is helpful.
