Assistant Account Executive- Commercial Lines Insurance

Job Summary:
The world’s foremost independent risk advisors are busy, which is good news for licensed P&C brokers with an eye for the big picture and a knack for getting inside a client’s business. We seek an experienced an Assistant Account Executive with 1-3 years of Commercial Lines brokerage experience. Candidates should be strategic thinkers who value honesty and possess a sense of urgency matched by integrity and an absolute commitment to client care. The Assistant Account Executive will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of account management, marketing, sales and service of Commercial accounts.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
The job duties of an Assistant Account Executive include, but are not limited to:
• Serve as client “in-house” liaison as needed
• Handle coverage requests to completion with some involvement of Account Executive (Notify carrier, update agency management system follow-up for endorsements, invoice, confirm & send to clients.)
• Ability to quote rating engines for BOP business with various carriers (i.e. Hartford, Travelers, FFIC, Employers, etc.)
• Assist with renewal information gathering including x-mods, loss runs, application updates as directed by A/E
• Perform market follow-up on new business & coverage requests as directed by A/E or independently for “automatic” renewals
• Prepare proposals ,summaries and binders, reviewing for accuracy, completeness
• Review and prepare certificates and contracts for insurance requirements and create master certificates.
• Update renewal reports, and take minutes for meetings
• Assist in the follow-up for and collection of premiums as directed by AE
• Attach & record e-mail and other relevant communication pertaining to accounts that are directly received or forwarded by Sales Exec/Producer/AE, Client, or Insurance Company within the Company system (Sagitta and/or Public Drive as necessary)
• Keep managers, executives and producers informed of significant developments on accounts
• Other duties assigned by management or AE
• Ability to work independently and at the direction of multiple A/E and/or Producers
Requirements and Qualifications:
• Associates degree, some college, or commercial insurance experience preferred
• Minimum 1-3 years experience within the insurance industry
• Property & Casualty licensed in California
• Ongoing education regarding industry knowledge and changes
• Proficient in computer applications, esp. in Microsoft Office Suite
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction
