Functional Analyst - Strong Proficiency in Hyperion Planning

Currently, Chubb is seeking a Functional Analyst for the Warren, NJ office. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a 3.0 or better GPA and strong experience in Hyperion. Position Description:
This position serves as a cross-functional member of the Global Financial System and Strategic Planning and Budgeting teams and will be responsible for providing functional support to the users of the Hyperion Planning and Budgeting application currently under development.
Responsibilities include:
• Maintaining and supporting the Hyperion Planning and Budgeting application from a functional perspective.
• Developing, documenting, and executing test scripts.
• Supporting the development and implementation of the system through the various stages of its deployment.
• Participating in the development and delivery of end-user training.
• Providing exceptional customer service to the users of the planning and reporting applications across the global organization.
• Responding to customer requests and questions.
• Performing various monthly, quarterly, and year end responsibilities as assigned.
• Performing various system maintenance and configuration responsibilities.
• Developing and preparing various financial analyses.
• Participating in, leading or supporting various ad-hoc projects and process improvement initiatives.
• Helping Chubb better leverage its investment in its financial systems technologies.
Competencies/Skills:
• Minimum of 3 years of finance/accounting/planning and budgeting experience.
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to build solid working relationships with individuals at all levels within the organization.
• Ability to perform at a high level in both team and individual environments.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and processes and recommend solutions and improvements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Proficiency in Hyperion Planning and Budgeting, Smartview, and Essbase.
• Proficiency in configuring, maintaining, and supporting vendor applications.
• Competent in using Microsoft suite, in particular Excel and Access.
• PeopleSoft, Oracle Financials, or equivalent ERP experience a plus.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance with a 3.0 or better GPA.
