Mid-sized Law Firm Group - New York City Aon Global – Professions Practice (AGP)
We have a career opportunity in the growing Mid-sized Law Firm practice group of our Aon Global Professions Practice (AGP) for an Account Representative in New York City:
MAJOR DUTIES
Working as part of client service team, in a highly collaborative team oriented environment, provide day to day servicing of complex professional liability, directors & officers and employment practices liability insurance programs for a portfolio of large professional services firm clients (law firms and consulting firms).
Obtain and analyze client insurance renewal information, assemble underwriting submissions to be sent to insurers, track and assist with follow-up during negotiations with insurers, prepare client proposals, coordinate receipt of and review insurer binders and other coverage documentation, check and prepare insurance policy documentation.
Become conversant with insurance policy terms and conditions specific to the lines of insurance being serviced.
Communicate with U.S., London and Bermuda based insurance markets as requested for quotes and renewal documentation.
Prepare wording comparisons, Verifications/Certificates of Insurance, letters and reports under the direction of the team leader.
Support sales/business generation activities with existing clients and potential clients.
Prepare and/or check computations of premiums and taxes. Prepare and/or check invoices.
Keep all key people advised of developments on the account to ensure continuity of service.
Coordinate activity with other Aon offices to ensure smooth coordination of all client activity.
Maintain daily diary and outstanding activity lists on all client accounts.
Conform to internal transparency and other AGP and Aon protocols.
Maintain detailed electronic and paper file notes.
Monitor claims activity.
Check all data entered into Aon internal systems.
Resolve accounting discrepancies.
Undertake various duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
4 year College Degree (BA/BS) preferred.
Minimum two years insurance experience preferred.
New York Brokers License or willingness to obtain.
Product expertise in Professional Liability, Employment Practices Liability and/or Management Liability preferred but not required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and analytical abilities required.
Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint – intermediate to expert user level preferred.
Strong organizational skills required.
Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail required.
Team oriented self-starter with ability to organize, prioritize, monitor and control work flow deadlines and be flexible
Ability to travel throughout US preferred but not required
