Full-time TIS INT Underwriter

Currently, Chubb is seeking a TIS INT Underwriter for the Phoenix, AZ Branch.

Basic Functions of Job:
This position supports the regional sales and production branches & Chubb Commercial Insurance underwriting goals related to profit, customer service, and producer relationships.

Major responsibilities:
As an Information Network Technology Underwriter for the Technology Insurance Services your responsibilities include:
• Underwrite and negotiate renewals and endorsements with a total premium of $3 to $4 million commercial lines book of business
• Lines of business include commercial package including INT Errors and Omissions coverage, automobile, umbrella, international, and workers' compensation for INT
• Reviews submission information, completes the risk report.
• Negotiates renewal premiums
• Completes all issuance instructions including appropriate forms, coverage and final premium.
• Handle policy count of 600 to 700 (130 - 180 customers)
• Achieve favorable retention within given territory
• Underwriting duties will include account rounding
• Marketing and servicing accounts based on Chubb guidelines
• Develop strong relationships with independent agents and brokers in order to successfully manage our business which may require travel to producer location

Skills and Competencies:
• Candidate must have proven ability to successfully negotiate on all levels and develop producer relations
• A strong track record of service orientation is required
• Knowledge of marketing principles, underwriting and pricing strategies
• The aptitude to attract and retain profitable business is essential
• A solid background in risk analysis is essential
• Candidate must have strong interpersonal and written communication skills
• The ability to work independently and cohesively in a team environment in conjunction with service staff, loss control, field marketing underwriters and branch employees is essential
• The ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment is crucial
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite as well as other business related software
• Must meet all the current criteria required of a Chubb Underwriting Specialist

Education & Experience:
• Two to five years of multi-line underwriting experience is required
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience

This position can be a payband 5 or 6 based on the candidate's knowledge, skills and experience
