We are currently seeking a Personal Lines Appraiser to be based in the Orlando/Jacksonville area.
Chubb's Personal Lines Department provides personal property insurance for homes, fine arts, jewelry, automobiles, and yachts, as well as excess liability coverages. The appraisal position provides a critical service by analyzing customer's homes and valuable contents to determine adequate replacement cost values, evaluate the location for potential claims, evaluate fire protection at the location, make specific recommendations to correct deficiencies, and provide underwriters with an overall risk analysis. During on-site visits an appraiser will cultivate relationships with clients in order to learn more about their needs, effectively market Chubb products, and sell Chubb's appraisal process and services.
Competencies/Job Requirements:
• Ability to deal with a wide variety of people; have an interest in architecture/construction, real estate, and fine art
• Must have an aptitude for evaluating, analyzing, and interpreting information
• Proficiency in expressing oneself well in verbal and written communication
• Ability to adapt to new ideas and changing situations
• Effective time and desk management or organizational skills are essential
• Aptitude to navigate computer systems and communicate by way of internet and e-mail is required
