We are currently looking for a Senior Broker with a strong math and/or finance background in our National Casualty operations group in Chicago IL, to negotiate and place large loss sensitive casualty placements for major clients. This position also places complex insurance/financial structures including loss portfolio transfers and prospective fixed cost products.
This position is located in Chicago IL.
Description:
- Emerging leader with proven peer market relationships and emerging senior market relationships
- Client facing with track record of working effectively with decision makers within clients
- Establishes credibility (knowledge/trust) with both clients and RMs (extensive internal network)
- Analyzes, interprets and reports on financial information based on data collected from financial applications
- Maintains and prepares records to ensure completeness and accuracy; brings inconsistencies to the
attention of the management
- Proven technical competency demonstrating capabilities to create innovative solutions
- Possesses senior executive client communication and negotiation skills (oral and written)
- Mentors junior brokers and provides peer reviews
- Effectively communicates market/industry perspectives and applications to specific client situation
Candidate will have:
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and use actuarial results and create mathematical based models to evaluate proposals. High proficiency in Excel including pivot tables and macros. Ability to negotiate substantially using actuarial and mathematical reasoning.
