Currently, Chubb is seeking an UWC Underwriter II for the Whitehouse Station, NJ office.
Position Description:
This underwriter will manage a $6 Million portfolio (Approximately 550-650 Policy in-force Count) of Standard Middle market commercial lines accounts. Lines of business include package (property and general liability), boiler & machinery, automobile, umbrella, international, and workers' compensation with account rounding knowledge of other commercial products and the ability to identify ancillary product opportunities. Underwriting duties will include managing a renewal portfolio and servicing existing accounts for various field branches throughout the Eastern Territory based on Chubb guidelines, agency management. Must implement and manage effective retention, pricing and rate strategies that will garner profitability, book growth and successful producer relations. We are looking for a candidate who is highly motivated to succeed and is results oriented.
Skills Required:
Candidate must have experience in multi-line package underwriting. Strong sales and marketing skills are critical; must be able to demonstrate success in account management, producer management and an ability to position Chubb's strengths within the commercial lines arena. A strong track record of service orientation is required. Candidate will need a solid background in risk analysis and experience with multi line accounts. Candidate must possess a high degree of proficiency with the underwriting process and partner effectively with an Underwriting Associate. Candidate must have exemplary ability to effectively interact with all levels of customers and coworkers. Knowledge and proficiency with technical issues, compliance, coverage, products and pricing strategies expected.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
