Currently, Chubb is seeking a Process Manager for the Whitehouse Station office.
Position Summary:
Responsible for identification and implementation of process and metrics for Personal Lines IT.
- This position specifically will have responsibility for identification, capture, and interpretation of process and other metrics to assess and analyze the performance of Personal Lines IT to planned and desired metrics.
- Performs end to end execution of multiple simple to moderately complex PMO owned processes, including, but not limited to, Financial Management, Project & Portfolio Management, Governance, SOX, SDLC compliance.
- Must understand practical application of IT processes and best practices to meet organizational needs through process improvement and training, mentoring and auditing project teams.
- Must partner effectively with application development counterparts within IT division to ensure usability, adequacy and consistency of process controls.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
• Develops and maintains the approved methodology, processes, metrics, templates and guidelines. Develops subject matter expertise and supports continuous process improvement.
• Provides project management and process guidance to the organization's initiatives to reduce risk, ensure compliance and increase success.
• Engages, influences and informs the organization through effective collaboration and communication
• Provides support and leadership to the organization in areas such as budget, governance, SOX, internal audit, metrics, portfolios and process.
• Guide Project Managers and other team members in planning
• Effectively leads assigned projects from inception through deployment
• Documents key analysis and design decisions and directions
• Provides audits of teams to assure process standards are met
• Drives the development of new processes
• Enforces processes, standards and methodologies
• Collaborates with other areas to guide process improvements and development initiatives
• Assist in identifying and implementing solutions
• Manage the development and implementation of communication initiatives to increase awareness and ease of use
• Manage the compilation and reporting of SDLC use and alignment metrics of IT
• Documents key analysis and design decisions and directions
• Reports status regularly and accurately reflecting issues, progress and key milestones
Recommended Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or Commensurate Experience
• 5-7 years of experience in technology, business, management or project leadership (experience in the Financial Services industry a plus)
• Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Visio and Clarity
• Practical experience, in a project management capacity, with a variety of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies and continuous process improvement.
• Experience managing in a matrix environment
• Results oriented and analytical with the ability to lead others
• Innovative, flexible and adaptable
• Good understanding of IT environments/technologies
• Good written and verbal communication, relationship management, interpersonal, conflict and negotiation skills
• PMP certification a plus
• Results-oriented and analytical with the ability to develop, improve and streamline work processes of varying complexity.
• Good written and verbal communication, relationship management and conflict and negotiation skills
• Operates effectively in situations with limited information; is innovative, flexible and adaptable.
• Demonstrate professionalism, leadership and personal accountability for work activities, relationships and career development.
• Experience in initiating and facilitating discussions with multiple stakeholders.
