Actuarial Supervisor

Our Underwriting group is seeking an exceptional Actuarial Supervisor who will manage several Actuarial Analysts and will have ownership of a broad range of projects including, but not limited to, reserve analysis and Actuarial Statements of Opinion, rate indications, loss ratio estimation for quota share treaties, Schedule P, SRQ and other support to Finance team, loss projections for annual financial budget, agents’ profit sharing forecasts and general analytical support to Product Management, Marketing, Customer Service and Claims departments.
The ideal candidate will have advanced technical expertise in actuarial science, applied statistics, or other quantitative disciplines. He/she must have a desire to work in a cooperative and team-oriented environment, be self-motivated and have a strong work ethic. Additionally, he/she must have a solid foundation of analytical and statistical skills gained from related coursework and practical work experience.
Key Requirements and Responsibilities:
• BS or MS degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics, statistics, or related field.
• ACAS with 7+ years of work experience in pricing or analyzing auto and/or homeowners insurance
• High proficiency with statistical programming and data analysis
• High level of intellectual curiosity and creative problem solving skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
