Currently, Chubb is seeking a TIS INT Underwriter for the Whitehouse Station office.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position supports the achievement of the regional sales and production branches & Chubb Commercial Insurance underwriting goals related to profit, customer service, and producer relationships for the Information Network Technology Segment.
Main responsibilities include:
*Underwrite and negotiate renewals and endorsements with a total premium of $4 to $5 million of Technology business. *Lines of business include commercial package including E&O, automobile, umbrella, international, and workers’ compensation for the Technology segment of TIS. *Handle policy count of 400 to 650 policy lines and UA support depends upon final book size and complexity. *Achieve favorable retention within given territory. *Underwriting duties will include account rounding and cross-selling where applicable. *Marketing and servicing accounts based on Chubb/EUC guidelines. *Developing strong relationships with independent agents and brokers in order to successfully manage our business which will require travel to producer location.
Skills and Competencies:
- Candidate must have proven ability to successfully negotiate on all levels and develop producer relations.
- A strong track record of service orientation and teamwork is key competency needed for this position.
Education and Experience:
Two to five years of multi-line underwriting experience is required.
Current background in handling Technology-related business with an emphasis on Information Network Technology exposures is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
