Full-time Life Insurance Account Manager

Full-Time Career Opportunity: Life Insurance Account Manager to perform customer service and account management for a large existing client base. To establish this new position we are looking for a committed professional with a passion for delivering unparalleled service, honesty and a desire to grow. We are a well-established insurance company located in Kansas City with nation-wide clients.

Serve as the primary client service representative for agency’s existing individual Life Policy clients; cultivate and maintain strong professional relationships with assigned clients. Act as liaison between client and carrier.

Job Duties:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong professional relationships with assigned clients.
  • Responsibilities including: delivering coverage information, explanation of coverages, discussing renewal and pricing options, managing billing and claim questions; assisting with policy reviews; communicate any termination of coverage or other service issues.
  • Mediate any communication between the client and the underwriting company issuing benefits.
  • Responsible for routine service, which includes the preparation of client reviews and coordination of service requests,
  • Responsible to make periodic scheduled contact with assigned clients to review coverage for client and make recommendations regarding changes or additions to coverage; cross sell additional lines of business such as the child rider and/or Accidental Death Benefit; and assist in renewals of term policies – generating quotes, etc.
  • Analyzes data to recommend strategies for helping clients meet their objectives;

The candidate must have superior people skills, communication skills and the ability to build working relationships with sales producers and clients. We need a friendly, outgoing person who readily engages others in conversation. This job requires strong commitment to client retention. This is a non-supervisory, sales support position. Offers the opportunity to advance into sales position.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or economics preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in life insurance: sales or account management.
  • Valid Life insurance license required.
  • Extensive working knowledge of life insurance products.
  • Completion of industry coursework is a plus, particularly series 6 and CLU; ChFC, CFP, and LUTCF
  • Candidate must possess excellent communication skills – both written and oral – along with engaging, friendly and articulate manner and delivery.
  • Knowledge of sales techniques a plus.
  • Proficient computer software skills – Word, Excel, Power Point, CRM database, internet.
