Manual Billing Team Leader

Currently, Chubb is seeking a Manual Billing Team Leader for the Whitehouse Station, NJ office.
Position Responsibilities
The Deductible Manual Billing Team Leader is responsible for assisting the Deductible Billing Unit Manager in the development and enhancement of the Access billing infrastructure (workflow and procedures) to efficiently support Chubb’s reimbursable deductible programs. The Deductible Manual Billing Team Leader is also responsible for administering the billing and collection activities for Chubb’s reimbursable deductible policies that are manually billed (i.e., those not supported by the automated billing system). Administering these programs involves the accurate and timely billing of reimbursable deductibles, researching and resolving issues, and communicating with internal and external customers. The Deductible Manual Billing Team Leader is also responsible for overseeing the processing of reimbursable deductible receipts. Processing deductible receipts involves balancing and entering reimbursement information into Chubb’s claim systems (LINES & ClaimVision) along with the collection activities for Chubb’s outstanding reimbursable deductible invoices.
The responsibility for the overall team workload is shared among the Deductible Billing Processors, Associates, Analysts, and Team Leaders. The Manual Billing Team Leader will assist the Deductible Billing Unit Manager in distributing the workload amongst the team members.
Key Accountability
Assist the Unit Manager in the development and enhancement of Access billing infrastructure to efficiently support Chubb’s reimbursable deductible programs.
- Document and maintain the workflow and procedural manuals for RDM manual billing set-up, Access billing, and receipt recording in Access.
- Develop and maintain a training plan along with a training manual to be used by Access Team members.
- Manage the timely pursuit of overdue receivables including the development and maintenance of receivable workflows and collection procedures.
- Work with the Deductible Billing Unit Manager and underwriting management to define the desired servicing level.
- Assist the Unit Manager in developing measurement tools as well as maintaining spreadsheets designed to track the unit’s performance.
- Provide feedback to the Deductible Billing Analyst and Deductible Billing Unit Manager on the performance of the systems utilized by the team (e.g., RDM manual billing set-up, Claim Review, Receipt processing and Access) to ensure the systems are maintained and enhanced to meet Chubb’s evolving needs.
- Provide suggestions for workflow improvements.
- Assist the System Analyst in testing system enhancements or new programs that support the unit’s overall development or Chubb’s initiatives.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
The individual in this position must meet the following general requirements:
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of commercial insurance coverage’s for Work Comp, GL(General Liability), Energy, Life Sciences, Cargo and Auto lines of business.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of claims with the ability to make a business decision ensuring proper coverage was utilized by the claim adjuster.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of Chubb’s reimbursable deductible programs and an ability to apply such knowledge (e.g., occurrence, claimant, features, policy aggregates and baskets).
- Possess in depth knowledge of the (Chubb systems) RDM, SIPOLADD and RDBS systems. nice to have
- Possess a thorough understanding of LINES/ClaimVision, iClaims and a working knowledge of the other systems utilized by the unit (i.e., RDM manual billing set-up, Claim Review and Access).
- Possess strong leadership skills and ability to motivate staff.
- Able to manage unit personnel issues and foster the professional development of unit staff.
- Able to plan, prioritize, and oversee multiple tasks. Utilizes both personal and staff resources in a manner beneficial to the company.
- Possess strong verbal and written communications skills, and the ability to clearly convey information to a diverse range of audiences (e.g., UW, UA, CSR, claims, producers, and insured’s: Risk Managers, CFO’s) in a concise fashion.
- Works well in a team environment. Able to build strong working relationships with customers and resource areas.
- Proficient in the use of technology (including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Pivot tables).
