Currently, Chubb is seeking an Appraisal Representative for the Whitehouse Station, NJ office.

The Appraisal Representative will be a Specialist in inspections and must be ambitious, a quick learner, an idea generator, and a team a player who thrives in a dynamic and challenging service environment.

Job Duties will include the following:
• Prudently distribute incoming CPI inspections requests to affiliated home inspection companies based on location, pricing, and service results.
• Review, process and archive incoming inspections.
• Strive to meet/exceed all CPI standards for service/timeliness, quality, and consistency.
• Learn and apply Chubb’s approach to replacement cost estimation.
• Learn and apply the foundation of CPI’s underwriting approach, particularly as it relates to risk selection and the Insurance to Value (ITV) process.
• Act as the “relationship and service” manager for those vendors in assigned zone. Work to quickly and effectively resolve agency and underwriting questions and concerns regarding completed inspections.
• Build good business relationships with local field appraisers and underwriters by soliciting pricing/classification guidance for unique/complex homes, and responding to all field inspection inquiries within the same business day
• Monitor quality and consistency of vendor reports with routine “spot checks.”
• Track and report personal service results on a daily basis.
• Work with management to continually review and scrutinize vendor pricing.

Knowledge/Skills Required:
• Excellent communication, organization, time management, and problem solving/analytical skills
• An eye for detail and an aptitude for multi-tasking
• Demonstrated ability to meet service deadlines and effectively prioritize responsibilities.
• Strong verbal and written skills
• The ability to adapt quickly to changing workflows, processes, and technology
• Strong computer skills are critical. Working knowledge of IMS and the Masterpiece Appraisal Request system is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel a plus.
• An interest and/or experience in architecture and construction is also desirable
