Currently, Chubb is seeking a TIS Endorsement/Commercial Express Underwriter for the Phoenix, AZ Branch.
Position Responsibilities
This is an entry level underwriting position within the Western Underwriting Center. The endorsement/commercial express underwriting associate is responsible for the underwriting of WUC endorsement requests and general service inquires from an assigned portfolio of business.
Major responsibilities:
• Underwrite all non commercial express (accounts over $10,000 in premium) renewal endorsement requests
• Timely adherence to workflows and business rules
• Timely response to producer inquiries relative to endorsement and service inquires
• Gather/analyze change requests, general service inquiries and endorsement requests emanating from the producers request
• Adhere to jurisdictional compliance documentation standards and ensure all underwriting documentation is complete.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The ideal candidate must have basic PC navigation skills including knowledge of Windows operation systems, Lotus Notes and the Internet
• Ability to meet or exceed established performance standards
• Excellent verbal and written skills as well as mathematical aptitude
• Demonstrate strong business acumen and critical thinking skills which lead to confident decision making and judgment abilities
• Ability to prioritize work and perform within time constraints
• Basic knowledge of underwriting principles and policy forms.
Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalent. Some college, insurance experience, and/or underwriting exposure preferred.
