Currently, Chubb is seeking a Loss Control / Property & Casualty Risk Engineer to work in Tampa, FL.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 7 years progressive experience in worker’s compensation, casualty and property insurance risk control and loss prevention functions, primarily focused on evaluating hazards and controls. This position is responsible for counseling existing commercial insurance customers in risk improvement. Candidate must have a sound proficiency in property and casualty loss control skills, with an emphasis on worker’s compensation. Hazard and control knowledge for workers’ compensation, property, fleet, general liability and product liability is preferred. Large account coordination skills are desirable. Other requirements include ability to work from telecommuting office and the ability to dictate reports. Time management and work planning skills are essential for delivering efficient and productive workflow. Teamwork and advanced communication skills are necessary to achieve business goals.
Position Description:
Providing risk improvement consultation to commercial customers to positively impact their loss ratio and deliver value that influences their insurance buying decision. The primary focus of this position will be the successful execution of consultative based servicing and risk engineering services to clients. In addition, on-site visits of existing and prospective customers will be conducted and comprehensive reports will be completed that evaluate hazards and controls for adequate risk selection, pricing, and application of underwriting techniques leading to profitable growth. The territory encompasses the state of Florida, with emphasis in central and northeast Florida. Candidate should reside in central or northeast Florida. Overnight travel is required.
Education:
Four-year college degree with major in sciences or engineering preferred. Possessing relevant professional designations or certifications such as CSP or ARM is highly desirable.
