Work Comp Lost Time Adjuster - Large Account Exp Needed!

Currently, Chubb is seeking a Workers Compensation Lost Time Adjuster for the Los Angeles, CA office.
Position Description
Produce a high quality work product on intermediate to complex claims through immediate contact and the effective investigation, reserving and adjustment of claims incurred by clients or third parties. Analyze first report to determine nature of loss, coverage provided, compensability and scope of injury/damage. Conduct investigations of all aspects of reported claims. Establish accurate and timely reserves. Maintain an active diary to monitor timely development of the file and timely disposition of the claims. Promptly and properly document all developments in claim file. Exercise good judgement in reaching final disposition of claim by evaluating nature of loss, liability, injury/damage, coverage provided and applicable limits. Effectively negotiate compromise settlements where appropriate. Recognize and pursue subrogation and contribution where applicable. Familiar with multi-jurisdictional laws, rules and regulations. Adhere to all statutory regulations and Unfair Claim Practice Acts. Effectively communicate with all internal/external customers.
Competencies/Tech Skills:
Requires industry experience and an intermediate to advanced level of demonstrated knowledge and skill in the following areas: investigation techniques; written and verbal communication related to claims handling; insurance contracts; legal requirements and regulations; damage and/or loss evaluation; negotiations; industry trends; litigation procedures; reserving skills and experience with Chubb Workstation a plus. Must have experience handling and managing large national accounts. Position requires effective communication with a wide spectrum of people both internally and externally. Develop and maintain strong business relationships with underwriters and high profile clients and brokers. The ability to share knowledge within a team environment. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, negotiation and analytical skills. Experience with Microsoft Office products required.
Education
High School diploma or equivalent,
College Degree Preferred.
