Senior Auditor
at Access Insurance in Georgia
Accounting – Auditing – Senior Auditor
The Senior Auditor position will be based in our Atlanta headquarters located inside the Perimeter near Interstates 85 and 285. Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, this individual will be responsible for the development of a comprehensive audit plan for the insurance operations, as well as the execution of recurring internal audit functions, assisting with external audit and examination processes and the monitoring of regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the mapping of the system of internal controls over the transactional flows within the Company and administer audit programs designed to test these internal controls.
Provide support in the management, direction and coordination of external audits, including the annual and interim financial audits by independent auditors.
Assist in the monitoring of licensing requirements for compliance, including sub-producer licensing, MGA licensing, and adjuster licensing.
Preparing audit summaries and reports.
Interpretation of all rules, regulations, and statutes governing the business handled by the company in the various states in which business is transacted.
A working knowledge of research tools, Insurance Department web sites, and the various technical update services for continual monitoring of regulatory changes is a plus.
Relocation is provided.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree from a 4 year university required
10+ years experience as an Auditor within an insurance environment
Must be a certified CPA or CFE
Prior experience with implementing a new internal review process highly desirable
Good excel, power point and English skills
Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, and a solid organizational background.
Must be able to perform well in a fast-paced environment and thrive under pressure.
