Roofing Inspector-Commission (Work from Home)

Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Regional Supervisor, inspects roofs primarily on personal property. Surveyors inspect roofing for proper installation and to identify potential construction defects. Client is a major national home improvement company.
Responsibilities:
Examine structures to determine the existence of proper product.
Measure and record the square footage of covered product.
Determine whether damage exists as agreed by the parties.
Determine whether Causation Exception, condition that excludes damage, exists as agreed by the parties.
Determine and record the square footage of compensable damage.
Perform inspections within the agreed timelines.
Uphold the Crawford & Company Code of Business Ethics at all times.
Perform other duties as requested.
Required:
High school or vocational school graduate or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to drive a vehicle and possess a valid driver's license for the jurisdiction.
Depending on geographic territory, may involve extended driving.
Strong analytical ability and mathematical skills.
Ability to work remotely with little or no supervision.
Preferred:
Previous experience in residential building construction is helpful.
