Full-time Account Executive (Personal Lines Insurance)

Job Summary:
The world’s foremost independent risk advisors are busy, which is good news for licensed P&C brokers with an eye for the big picture and a knack for getting inside a client’s business. We seek an experienced Account Executive with 5+ yrs of Personal Lines brokerage experience. Candidates should be strategic thinkers who value honesty and possess a sense of urgency matched by integrity and an absolute commitment to client care. The Account Executive will be responsible servicing a book of Personal Risk Management accounts.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
The duties of the Account Executive include, but are not limited to:
• To service existing accounts and develop new business accounts in accordance with the objectives of the Personal Lines Manager and established guidelines and procedures.
• Develop and achieve minimum production volume consistent with sales objectives
• Actively generate new leads through various sources (client referrals, community meetings, etc.)
• Submit date on potential accounts and renewals to support personnel for processing, market the account, present proposals to prospects and clients, close sales and deliver policies
• Handle complex processing with client and/or company personnel
• Service existing book of Personal Lines business, as assigned or needed. Maintain Account Receivables.
• Refer all leads, other than Personal Lines, to appropriate Department Manager
• Promote agency to insurance industry
• Participate in company and agency sales promotions
• Keep informed of industry developments through review of trade press and by attending company-training meetings on new products
• Attending classes, for C.R. requirements and advancement for professional designation, such as CIC,CISR and CPCU
• Review all renewals in advance for recommendations and/or remarketing
• Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned by the Personal Lines Manager and Management

Requirements and Qualifications:
• 5+ years experience at insurance brokerage in Personal Lines, VIP preferred
• Valid Illinois State P&C brokers’ license
• College degree preferred
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications, esp. Microsoft Office Suite
• Exceptional organization and time-management skills
• Sagitta agency management system knowledge a plus
