Currently, we have an exciting career opportunity for a Sr. Business Development Specialist at our Hatboro, PA office.
The Sr. Business Development Specialist – Architects & Engineers duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Contacts assigned client accounts of prospects to sell moderately complex products within a designated geographic territory or by nature of client. Focuses on personal sales targets. May have special markets/complex product lines assigned that require significant client relationship skills. Work with Marketing to solicit and place new business to include cold calls, visits to firms, gathering the application, working with UW for competitive terms, presenting terms to complete the sale.
Analyzes account’s business and financial status to provide the right products to meet clients’ needs and circumstances
Oversees the renewal solicitation process; contacts the firm to make sure information has been received, responds to questions and facilitates the quote process with underwriting and the carrier. Gather and present terms to the insured respond to servicing issues during the policy period.
Representative Activities
Meets personal sales targets as established, incorporating the full range of products/services within identified markets or geography. Typical accounts would be complex and diverse clients that require ongoing client relationship support.
Provides technical advice to client and junior sales professionals as needed.
Prepares sales presentations and proposals to ensure successful outcome of transactions.
May participate in special projects/programs as assigned, such as training or communications sessions within or outside of the company
SPECIAL SKILLS:
P&C license
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
High School, college degree preferred
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
3 years in insurance sales, with preference for architects and engineers and professional liability background
