Client Specialist -Surety Bonds

Position Summary
Provides daily account support services for existing/assigned bond clients. Reports to the Director, Surety Operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepares various types of bonds, including, but not limited to bid, final, miscellaneous, and court bonds.
Prepares Consent of Surety, Prequalification Letters, Riders, and other documents required by clients.
Prepares General Indemnity Agreements/Bond Applications.
Runs expiration lists and updates AonBondLink records according to client’s wishes.
Maintains accurate electronic bond files in ABL as well as financial files.
Handles countersignature requirements.
Provides surety technical advice/support to non-surety personnel.
Coordinates receipt of pertinent underwriting information.
Confirms that bonds are issued in compliance with surety lines of credit. Assists in negotiating approvals for execution of bonds that are outside of / in excess of surety line of credit or broker authority.
Requirements
- Performs at an intermediate level; works under minimal supervision.
- May take primary accountability for handling selected accounts.
- Working knowledge of surety bonds desired
- Is proficient on all required computer technology, including AonBondLink, Bridge, and Lotus Notes.
- Possesses strong organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
- Is able to effectively interpret a variety of technical instructions dealing with abstract and concrete variables.
- Maintains or obtains Notary Public designation.
- Maintains Power of Attorney appointments with major surety markets.
- May assist with training Associate Specialists.
- Maintains appropriate Producer license.
