Full-time Assistant Account Executive- Commercia Lines Insurance

Job Summary:
The world’s foremost independent risk advisors are busy, which is good news for licensed P&C brokers with an eye for the big picture and a knack for getting inside a client’s business. We seek an experienced Assistant Account Executive with 2+ yrs of Commercial Lines brokerage experience. Candidates should be strategic thinkers who value honesty and possess a sense of urgency matched by integrity and an absolute commitment to client care. The Assistant AE will be responsible for assisting Account Executives in servicing Commercial Lines real estate accounts.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
The duties of the AAE include, but are not limited to:
• Assist Account Executives (AE) with servicing and managing a book of business
• Do minor placements as directed by AE
• Direct backup to AE with phone calls from carriers and clients when AE is unavailable or out of the office.
• Process schedules of insurance, certificates of insurance, Auto ID cards, applications, proposals, binders, change requests and misc. spreadsheets under the direction of the AE
• Suspend all new lines, endorsement requests and binders and follow-up on all suspenses in Sagitta; review pending items daily
• Responsible for electronic mail distribution
• Manage daily downloads of policies, endorsements and other documents for carrier websites
• Review cancellation list with AE on a daily basis; advise Accounting department or results and status of payments
• Contact underwriters to follow-up on outstanding requests
• Handle special presentations, quotations and other projects as assigned by AE
• Other duties as assigned by the Team Leader and/or AE

Requirements and Qualifications:
• 1-2 years of prior commercial insurance brokerage experience; real estate exp. preferred; exp. with risk purchasing groups a plus
• Valid P&C brokers’ license required
• Associates college degree or higher or equivalent insurance experience required
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, esp. Word/Excel
• Sagitta agency management system knowledge a plus
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional organization and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction
• Must be able to handle a past-faced, challenging work environment
