Currently, we have an exciting career opportunity for a Claims Analyst. This position will be an outsourced role serving an Aon client located in the Philadelphia area.
Job Description:
Ensures operational effectiveness in support of claims management strategies. Serves as liaison between injured worker, Human Resources, Claims Management, Risk Management and Third Party Administrators (TPAs) to ensure efficient claims reporting and follow-up.
Reviews First Reports of Injury for irregularities, accuracy and completeness. Requests additional information as necessary to complete claim processing. Escalates irregularities to Corporate Claims Managers and/or TPA representatives.
Maintains database of FROIs to be provided as requested by local representatives for OSHA compliance.
Directs injured workers to medical providers as necessary/appropriate.
Explains claims process to injured workers, offers brochure and other information as appropriate.
Remains in contact with injured worker to monitor physician reports, work restrictions and assist in adjusting work assignments.
Notifies TPA of changes in injured workers’ work/medical status.
Requests wage information and provides wage statements to TPA representatives.
Assists with TPA investigation, responds to requests for job information, work status, red flags.
Manages the return to work process with local business leaders, TPA and Corporate Claims Manager. Develops and maintains job analyses and job bank tools, assists in identifying opportunities for return to work, coordinates transitional duty job offers and monitors status of injured workers in transitional duty positions.
Job Requirements
Two years Human Resources, Claims Management, or Disability Management experience. Understands workers’ compensation claims programs, policies and procedures. Familiar with workers’ compensation reporting, investigation and analysis.
