Full-time Underwriting Assistant

The Berkely Group, a subsidiary of Aon Corporation, is located in Jericho NY and is a provider of Travel Protection Plans. Currently, we have an exciting opportunity for an Underwriting Assistant. 

Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist and support underwriters with renewal and new business policies
Process policy changes, endorsements, certificates, insurance quotes and binders
Confirm policy forms and endorsements are appropriate prior to mailing to the client
Strong attention to detail and organization skills
Maintain monthly reports on production, retention and track trends  
Ensure electronic file integrity
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail oriented
Support Phone Loop (calls from clients and brokers)
Follow up on premium delinquencies
File set-up and maintenance
Support new business marketing tasks (mailings, trade show support etc.) 

Minimum Required Experience:
- 2 years work experience in a business environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite products; Word and Excel
- Must have ability to multi-task and prioritize work flow

Minimum Education: 
High school diploma, college degree preferred
