Entry Level Tax Accountant – Recent College Grads Welcomed to Apply

Currently, Chubb is seeking a Tax Accountant I for the Warren, NJ office.
The Tax Accountant is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of federal and state compliance and quarterly provisions. They will conduct technical research and assist in the completion of the department's projects.
Major Duties/ Responsibilities include:
• Prepare federal and state tax returns, extensions and estimates.
• Assist in the completion of the quarterly tax provisions for GAAP and Statutory financial reporting.
• Formulate the initial response to inquiries/requests from internal/external customers.
• Compile information for state audits.
• Participate in special projects as assigned by Supervisor.
• Assist in the supervision of interns assigned to the department when deemed appropriate by Supervisor.
Knowledge & Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
• A minimum 2 years tax or accounting experience
• Effective analytical, research, documentation and organizational skills
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively work on several projects concurrently
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Ability to work overtime during peak periods
