IT Business Analyst - Insurance Knowledge Desirable

Currently, Chubb is seeking an IT Business Analyst for the Warren, NJ office.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Performs as the liaison between business partners and the IT team, and leads in-depth analysis of the business process to ensure that requirements support the business objectives. The successful candidate must understand, review, analyze and evaluate business needs, and effectively facilitate and influence the requirements gathering process. This position is aligned with the Surety Cornerstone strategic initiative.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Defines and manages project scope throughout SDLC anticipating issues and proactively recommends solutions
•Develop and document the business requirements for a complex, integrated program with multiple concurrent projects, using Chubb Project Path methodology
•Engage business partners and elicit requirements from many stakeholders, using techniques such as interviews, workshops, JAD sessions, and/or existing systems documentation or procedures
•Analyzes and documents business requirements for large and complex business requests while using industry and corporate standard analysis techniques such as data flow modeling, process/workflow analysis, functional decomposition analysis and business rule definition
•Collaborates across business and technology functions to ensure comprehensive, strategic business solutions are defined & implemented
REQUIRED SKILLS:
•Detail-oriented and thorough, with the ability to meet aggressive target dates
•Highly flexible, organized, and effective at multi-tasking
•Experienced with the entire systems development life cycle
•Ability to develop positive relationships with IT staff , business partners, and vendor partners
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Effective in a variety of formal and informal facilitation and presentation settings: one-on-one, small and large groups
•Pro-active in issue identification and resolution
•Anticipates and plans for impact from other projects within the program
•Ability to collaborates with QA to develop and coordinate effective UAT test plans
•Effective in engaging a wide range of perspectives to ensure comprehensive solutions
•Excellent analytical ability, judgment, and consultative skills
•Ability to perform analysis of complex business, workflow, and technology issues to support the decision-making process
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and balance assignments from multiple projects
•Ability to interact effectively with all levels within the business organization
•Insurance knowledge is desirable, and Surety experience a significant advantage
EDUCATION:
Bachelor degree and at least four years experience in a systems analysis environment, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
