DESCRIPTION:
The primary responsibility of this role is to serve as a Vice President and Consultant for Aon's Health and Welfare clients in the Ohio market area. This entails developing a portfolio of clients from new and existing relationships. Aon's Health and Welfare Consultants perform as effective business partners and solution providers for our clients. Health and Welfare Consultants/Account Managers are responsible for ensuring that our clients receive exceptional service by our local service delivery teams. They build solid relationships with clients on the basis of sound advice, demonstrated performance, and behaviors that exemplify Aon's Corporate Values.
Aon's Health and Welfare Consultants work as part of a "One Aon Team" to understand clients' needs and introduce the full range of Aon's resources to clients and prospective clients. Aon Health and Welfare Consultants/Account Managers develop new sales leads through networking and research and collaboration with other local office personnel with responsibility for business development. Based upon a thorough understanding of a client's business needs, they continually evaluate the status of their accounts, including the client's satisfaction with our solutions, products, and services, as well as account profitability and account penetration.
Reporting directly to the Regional Health and Welfare Benefits Practice Leader, this individual will also report on a “dotted line” basis to local office management and, for the right candidate, she/he will also be part of the local Executive Management Team, setting direction and providing leadership across all disciplines in the local office and market. This individual will be expected to develop and maintain strong insurer contacts as well and be the local leader, in the business community, for Aon’s benefits brokerage work.

EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelors' degree from an accredited college or university is required.
Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), or similar, designation preferred.
Candidates should have a proven track record, with eight to ten (8-10) years of experience as a Health and Welfare Consultant or Senior Client/Account Manager, in employee benefits consulting.
Candidates should be proficient in relevant software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook.
