Complex Property Underwriter - Great Opportunity at Chubb!

The Chubb Group of Insurance Companies is currently seeking a Commercial Insurance Underwriter to join the Commercial Insurance Unit of its New York Branch.
As a Property Underwriter, you are accountable for financial performance of a book of commercial business and achieving profitable growth for the Eastern Territory.
A Property Underwriter manages an $8M+ book of business for New York City Brokers and Agents. The books consists of sophisticated property risks. The underwriter will market to producers to generate new business submissions and handle renewals. The underwriter will create business plans for and manage assigned broker relationships in order to achieve profit, growth, retention and rate objectives. The underwriter will work closely with other members the commercial underwriting teams, underwriting associates, Claims and Loss Control.
A qualified candidate will have:
• 3-5 years experience underwriting commercial insurance with an expertise in property
• Experience with sophisticated brokers and agents
• Excellent marketing, negotiation, communication, interpersonal and time management skills
• Experience developing marketing plans and handling complex accounts
Education:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
