Full-time Account Specialist

Position Summary:
Assists Account Executive and Unit Manager on assigned Public Entity accounts, managing key processes that serve clients and undertaking client-facing and internal activities and apply business knowledge to our clients' strategic goals.  

Essential Duties:
Assist in acquiring and retaining clients
Actively supports and monitors the renewal process
Prepare applications and submissions to markets
Review insurance quotes for compliance with requested items
Prepare proposals
Timely invoicing and collections of revenue
Maintain and monitor policy checklist to ensure timely receipt of policies
Review policies against binders for accuracy
Maintain and monitor Schedule of Insurance and provide monthly updates to clients
Manages client open items lists
Responds quickly to client requests and works to provide appropriate information
Receives and manages routine endorsement requests
Ensures that the Aon Signature Service Standards are met and practiced throughout the client service process
Serves as key client liaison for items such as certificates, auto IDs, invoices, receivables and collections
Assist in preparing Stewardship Reports and Client Service Plans
Attend training as directed
Performs related duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience:
Exceptional sales and negotiation skills. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Self -starter with strong organizational skills. Property & Casualty licensed required within 6 months of hire date.
3+ years minimum experience in Commercial Lines as Insurance Coordinator/Technical Assistant or Account Specialist or CSR, preferably with corporate accounts.
Ability to prepare client and carrier documentation with clarity and brevity
Ability to understand the structure and content of insurance contracts
High aptitude for the use of technology
High aptitude for the use of Microsoft Office Applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Minimum education required:Some college experience or equivalent experience, college degree preferred
