Executive Protection Underwriter - D&O Experience Required

Currently, Chubb is seeking an Executive Protection Underwriter. The ideal Underwriter will have experience handling D&O and E/O for large public or private companies.
Position Description:
This underwriter will be part of the Chubb Specialty team based in the Philadelphia branch, with a focus on Executive Protection, Healthcare and ChubbPro products. The Underwriter will be responsible for an $8.3mm book of business in collaboration with the underwriting service branch and specialty risk center, including underwriting a $2.5mm book of business directly. The Underwriter is critically responsible for building relationships with producers through frequent agency travel, developing prospects, negotiating price and terms, managing profitability, and achieving new business goals. The candidate must be able to work effectively with a team of underwriters, customer service representatives and claims examiners, both local and remote.
Competencies/Technical Skills:
• Demonstrates leadership and strong analytical and financial analysis skills;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in sales, marketing and negotiation
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Proven track record of building strong business relationships with brokers and customers
• Demonstrated ability to effectively produce new business is a must
• Knowledge of all Executive Protection products
• Familiarity with Miscellaneous Professional and Media products preferred.
