We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of District Manager for the states of AL, MS, LA, AR, TN and KY. Job responsibilities include overseeing performance management of network general and specialty contractors in designated district. Responsible for providing supervision for contractor performance standards, to include on site meetings and training. Frequent travel required, overnight stay is limited. Company car is provided.
Candidates should have previous insurance property adjusting background or related construction experience. Knowledge of general construction and estimating practices required along with ability to analyze data. Good verbal and written communication skills essential. Computer literate with working knowledge of email and internet applications. Ability to learn wide variety of company specific software.

Position Summary:
Oversees the work of approved Contractor Connection contractors in geographic district; serves as a liaison between contractors, insureds and insurers; implements expansion of Contractor Connection program to additional cities in district.
Responsibilities:
Provides overall supervision of contractor work in district.
Monitors time frames for handling of individual claims by each contractor.
Assists in reinspection process, both pre-inspection and re-inspection on selected projects to confirm quality, scope, and customer satisfaction. Address leakage.
Audits contractor files to confirm all completion documents, i.e., Certificates of Satisfaction and appropriate lien releases are in hand. Mediates disputes that arise between the insured, the insurer and the contractor; maintains and improves relationships with all team members.
Facilitates responses to questions any party may have regarding the handling of the claim.
Expands coverage of Contractor Connection to other cities within district.
Locates, interviews and pre-qualifies contractors for participation in Contractor Connection.
Coordinates contractor proposal process by determining reasonable adjustment factors agreeable to all parties.
Schedules training sessions and installation of estimating software program for new contractors.
Assists the training staff when requested.
Assists in major deployments when the need arises sending local contractors to catastrophe events.
Key liaison between Contractor Connection, Crawford Branch, and Contractor.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, construction or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and at least 5 years of industry experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
Familiar with residential and commercial construction, restoration means and methods.
Ability to interpret contract terms and conditions.
Ability to inspect completed work and determine conformance with contract requirements and standard business practices.
Ability to resolve problems while maintaining a spirit of cooperation and teamwork.
Good computer skills; Windows 95, 98, 2000 or NT, Microsoft Word, Excel, and working knowledge of property estimate software programs.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects or contractors concurrently under minimal supervision.
Tact and diplomacy.
Special Requirements/Certifications/Qualifications:
Previous experience in the construction industry. Insurance property loss adjusting experience helpful.
Will have frequent interaction with contractors, property owners, and insurance companies to exchange information, settle disputes, and to consider alternative solutions to problems.
Frequent travel within territory and occasional travel outside of territory will be required.
