Currently, Chubb is seeking a Workers' Compensation Claims Supervisor located in Los Angeles, CA.

Competencies/Tech Skills:

Minimum of 5 years as a Senior Examiner and some supervisory experience is a plus. Must have a thorough understanding of Multi-jurisdictional Workers' Compensation, General Liability and Auto claims. Knowledge of insurance contracts and litigation procedures. Possess excellent negotiation skills. Basic awareness of Chubb HR policies, practices and philosophy and ability to direct and influence unit members. Full proficiency with Chubb systems and working knowledge of some statistical reports. Candidate must have a thorough understanding of Chubb's internal audit and service standards. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage internal and external relationships, highly develop problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Advanced proficiency all claim domain and universal competencies. Position requires effective communication with a wide spectrum of people both internally and externally. Develop and maintain strong business relationships with underwriters and high profile clients and brokers. The ability to share knowledge within a team environment. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, negotiation and analytical skills. Experience with Microsoft Office products required.

Position Description:

Ensures the delivery of timely and efficient claims service through the daily supervision of several examiners. Specific responsibilities include: provide technical guidance to staff on investigation, reserving and adjustment of claims; direct involvement in more complex claims; ensuring reserve adequacy; reviewing individual examiners work product and department workflows; approving all outside vendor utilization and associated costs; developing staff and conducting performance appraisals; ensuring compliance with all statutory and reporting requirements; disseminating changing industry/regulatory requirements. Participate in branch marketing efforts. Ensure recognition and pursuit of subrogation. Adhere to all statutory regulations and Unfair Claim Practice Acts. Effectively communicate with all internal/external customers. -Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience

Education: College Degree Preferred
