Full-time Workers Compensation Medical Only Examiner

Currently, Chubb is seeking a Workers Compensation Claims Trainee for the Chicago office.

Position Responsibilities
• Analyze first reports and promptly contact the insured/claimant.
• Promptly and appropriately develop the file to provide accurate and timely investigation and loss analysis.
• Maintain an active diary to move file toward resolution.
• Recognize and pursue recovery.
• Adhere to multiple state jurisdictional regulations, statutes, case law and Unfair Claims Practices Acts.
• Recognize and identify potential fraudulent claims.
• Effectively control the use, work product and expenses of outside vendors.
• Effectively evaluate claim facts and negotiate claim settlements.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:
• Strong decision making and critical thinking skills.
• Aptitude for evaluating, analyzing, and interpreting information.
• Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Innovative thinking with the ability to multi-task.

Education and Experience:
• College degree required.
• Recent college graduate defined as graduating within the past 2 years desired.

*Testing will be included as part of the interview process.
