Currently, Chubb is seeking a Claim Technical Assistant to work at the Atlanta, GA location.
Position Description:
Partner with claim staff to achieve established goals by providing superior customer service. Process incoming claim mail and faxes. Screen high volume of phone calls, take and refer accurate phone messages and/or respond to inquiries as knowledge/experience permits. Responsible for accurately filing of mail in existing files, pulling files as requested and managing monthly file purge process. Correspond with clients, injured employees or parties, adjusting staff and vendors; document all facts in claim system. Input of payables in claim system and manage funds. Research and resolve expense and payment issues/questions. Complete special projects/assignments as required. Ensure full utilization of technology while collaborating with team members to achieve customer satisfaction. All candidates will be tested in Numerical Ability, Reading Comprehension, Proofing, and PC proficiency. File Workers’ Compensation forms for various jurisdictions.
Competencies/Tech Skills:
Ideal candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to perform multiple tasks that may be complex in nature. Must be able to work independently and exercise excellent decision making skills. Strong communication, problem solving, interpersonal, organization, time management and prioritization skills are also critical. Must be computer literate. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Lotus Notes a plus. Position requires effective communication with a wide spectrum of people both internally and externally. The ability to share knowledge within a team environment. Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation state form filling requirements.
Education:
High School Graduate minimum, some college preferred.
