SEA_Manager, Product Liability (Risk Management)
at Samsung Electronics America, Inc. in New Jersey
Position Summary
1. PLD (Product Liability Defense) To minimize risk exposure to property damage or bodily injury incidents.
2. PLP (Product Liability Prevention) To eliminate potential risk or similar incident from new products/ models.
Common Essential Duties & Resp.
1. Daily claim collection Samsung branded product: Call center or legal OEM branded product: Insurance subrogation or tendered
2. GPLS (Global Product Liability System) Registration Real time information sharing with SEC/ SEA/ others Timely input and detailed description
3. Periodic status update CHUBB RMIS (Risk Management Information System) update E-mail updates
4. Supporting required documentation Technical information Owners manual; Service manual; UL report; Product verification
5. Bi-Annual claims review WEMED/ SEA/ SFM/ AON/ Chubb Litigation or major case review
6. On-Site inspection Scene inspection Product inspection/ Destructive testing
7. Deposition and Trial witness
8. Shipping evidence to SEC In-depth examination
9. Monthly report Tendency or pattern analysis Detail progress on major pending claims
Necessary Skills / Attributes
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years in Risk Management
• Education: BS/BA
• Certification: CFEI (Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator) preferred
• Technical Knowledge: Sap / CIC; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
• Bilingual in English/ Korean preferred
